The course comprises issues on the definitions and importance of seed science, seed technology and plant breeding, plant genetic aspects, plant breeding techniques, variety development and improvement, variety assessment, variety maintenance and seed increase and  seed production and multiplication, seed quality control, seed handling and processing, seed storage, marketing and distribution.
